Billy, Steve and Jeff finish their conversation by talking about war, and how they feel about our troops fighting for other countries. They sound the alarm a few times. Steve plays a Dave Rubin clip about the Midterm Elections, they discuss what people say in public vs what they say behind closed doors. They talk Brian Flores and Bill Belichick and is having fun or winning more important. Steve reads a little about fallacy... and more.
So now that Russia has invaded Ukraine and they are putting up a fight on their own. So much so that this could be the downfall of Putin (fingers crossed) and since the first world countries of Europe have started sending weapon systems to Ukraine that they had refused to send before, how does this change the matrix surrounding our discussion regarding the sending of troops? And are you ready for a draft to send US troops?
I am still the big cousin watching from a close distance. And I although I don’t believe Ukraine can win, I believe they can make Russia give up. And a weaken Russia is better for the entire world. But I still don’t see an instance where I would put American troops on the ground. Our two-front approach in this conflict is to keep Ukraine armed and to financially suffocate Russia. I believe this will be enough, as long as the Ukrainians keep fighting.
so what is the “line in the sand”? They are fighting for themselves and the countries around them are helping. These where your criteria. So when do you believe it is appropriate to send in American troops?
